Effective Mantras
Shakyamuni mantra: This mantra is about paying homage to the first Buddha. Chant “Om Muni Muni Mahamuni Shakyamuniye Svaha Om” as it invokes the Buddha nature. In your chant you are asking for the universe to bring that nature out in you.
Medicine Buddha mantra: Chant this mantra when you want assistance in relieving pain and suffering. Chant “Tayata Om Bekanze Bekanze Maha Bekanze Radza Samudgate Soha” as it releases all that darkness and pain and clears your path for enlightenment.
Amitabha Mantra: By chanting “Om Ami Dewa Hrih”, you are asking the universe to help you overcome obstacles that have been blocking your life. This mantra enhances the person’s compassionate side.
Lotus Sutra Mantra: This mantra is very important in Nichiren Buddhism teachings which offers devotion and teaches all on how to become enlightened. It is an ode to the lotus sutra and is rather famous. The chant is Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo.
Green Tara Mantra: “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha” helps in battling emotional, physical and relationship blocks, where the Green Tara figure is also known as - offer assistance. However, there is a catch when you chant this mantra. You can expect an outcome and have to be completely detached.
White Tara Mantra: Those asking for good health and compassion must chant the mantra “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayuh Punya Jnana Pustim Kuru Soha”. This mantra is to be chanted only when you have positive feelings and intentions for someone else’s good.
